National Board Informational sessions:

NEA National Board Jump Start, a week-long workshop covering all aspects and components of National Board certification will be offered during Summer 2018. Cost is $250 for CCEA members, $500 for non-members.

National Board Traditional cohort support
Traditional cohorts support National Board candidates and meet regionally or by certificate area, and start at the beginning of each school year. Cost is $275 for CCEA members and $350 for nonmembers.

CCEA/CCSD National Board Professional Development Schools
NBPD schools have on-site National Board cohorts with a trained NBCT facilitator at their school sites. Applications to become a National Board Professional Development School are made in spring for the following school year. Schools need a minimum of 10 active National Board candidates to apply. Cost is $250 per candidate and is usually paid by the school. There is no extra charge for non-members.

Writing for National Board
Workshops are offered through a unique collaboration with Southern Nevada RPDP. The 4 sessions are facilitated by Saralyn Lasley and are free to our cohort participants.

Cognitive Coaching and Mentoring for National Board
These popular workshops offer best practice strategies for facilitating adult learning with National Board Certification candidates in mind. The two sessions are facilitated by Cyndi Herron and will be offered again in summer 2018. Cost is $150 for CCEA members, $250 for non-members.
National Board Professional Learning Facilitator Training
For National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTs) and advanced candidates, this workshop prepares teacher leaders for facilitating National Board cohorts. This workshop will be offered in January 2018 and in summer 2018. Cost is $150 for CCEA members, $250 for non-members. Discount of $100 to for teachers who elect to take both Cognitive Coaching and NBPLF Training in the same summer session.
